Walter Quintin Gresham
Walter Quintin Gresham (1832-1895) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the United States Circuit Courts for the Seventh Circuit.[1]
Seventh Circuit
Gresham received a recess appointment to the United States Circuit Courts for the Seventh Circuit from President Chester Arthur on October 28, 1884, and was nominated on December 3, 1884. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 9, 1884, and received commission that same day. On June 16, 1891, he was reassigned to the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. He resigned on March 3, 1893.[1]
District of Indiana
Gresham was previously a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Indiana.
He received a recess appointment from President Ulysses Grant on September 1, 1869, and was nominated on December 6, 1869. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 21, 1869, and received commission that same day. He resigned on April 9, 1883.[1]
