Virginia A. Vinson
Virginia Ann Vinson was a criminal division judge of Circuit 10 in Jefferson County, Alabama.[1] She assumed office in January of 2001. She retired in 2019.[2][3]
Education
Judge Vinson received her B.S. degree from Samford University in 1974 and her J.D. degree from the Birmingham School of Law in 1980.[2]
Career
Judge Vinson was admitted to the practice of law on April 25, 1981.[4] She then worked as a lawyer with the firm Wilkinson & Vinson until 2000, when she became a judge.[2]
2012 election
Vinson defeated James Park Neill in the general election on November 6, winning 56.75% of the vote.[5][6]

Birmingham Bar Association ratings
In October, the Birmingham Bar Association compiled results of its Judicial Primary Qualifications Poll. 687 members of the association participated in the poll, though all members did not participate in each evaluation. Below are the candidate's results.[7]
