On November 3, 2026, there will be a special election to fill the rest of the six-year term that Marco Rubio (R) was elected to in 2022. Primaries are scheduled for August 18, 2026. The filing deadline is April 24, 2026.[1][2]
The special election will fill the vacancy left by Marco Rubio (R), who was confirmed as U.S. Secretary of State on January 20, 2025.
