Burditt (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Vermont House of Representatives to represent Rutland-2 District. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Burditt owns Tom Burditt's Rx Lawn Systems, and was previously a partner in Vaillancourt Tree Landscape. He coached varsity wrestling at Rutland High School from 1997-2001, was a Town of West Rutland Selectman from 2005-2006, and is a Vermont State Certified Pesticides Applicator.

Elections for the Vermont House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 12, 2014. Rutland-2 has two state representatives. Incumbent Dave Potter was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Tom Burditt was unopposed in the Republican primary. Ted Schaft ran as a Libertarian candidate.[6][7][8][9] Potter and Burditt defeated Schaft and Michael Stimpfel in the general election.[10]

Burditt won re-election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Rutland 2. Burditt was unopposed in the August 28 Republican primary and won re-election in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[11]
2010
Tom Burditt ran for the Vermont House of Representatives Rutland 1-2 in 2010. He ran against Richard Norris in the Republican primary on August 24, 2010. He was opposed by Dave Potter (D), Tony Morgan (D), and Richard Norris (R) in the November 2, 2010, general election. According to unofficial results Burditt won one of the two seats in the district, but as of November 15 a recount is pending.[11]
