Steve Siegel defeated Tom Rubel in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Mark Chelgren was unopposed in the Republican primary. Siegel faced Chelgren in the general election.[2][3] Incumbent Chelgren defeated challenger Siegel in the general election.[4]
