Tod Bowman (Democratic Party) was a member of the Iowa State Senate, representing District 29. Bowman assumed office on January 3, 2011. Bowman left office on January 2, 2019.
Bowman (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Iowa State Senate to represent District 29. Bowman lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Biography
Bowman received his B.A. in social sciences and education from Luther College and his M.A. in education from Western Illinois University. His professional experience includes working as a teacher for the Maquoketa Community School District, coaching wrestling and football, and serving as president of the Maquoketa Area Education Association.

Elections for the Iowa State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Incumbent Tod R. Bowman was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while James R. Budde defeated James A. Heavens in the Republican primary. Bowman faced Budde in the general election[1][2] and incumbent Bowman defeated the challenger.[3]

Bowman defeated Republican candidate Andrew Naeve by a margin of 10,017 to 9,947 in the November 2 general election.[4] Democratic candidate Roger Stewart did not run for re-election.
In the June 8 primary election, Bowman faced candidates Brian Moore (729), Ed O'Neill (232) and Paul Feller (54). Bowman won the primary with 1,573 votes.[5]
