What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
1.Medicare for all 2.Saving the world from the climatocalypse. 3.Reinforcing ethics and transparency as a cornerstone of public service.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Healthcare or caring in general is a passion of mine. I want to unite us, so that we may address the looming threats together.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
I look up to Teddy Roosevelt for his attitude and his larger than life persona. I look up to FDR for showing care and compassion in his policy. I look up to Randy Bryce for standing for American workers. I look up to AOC for being a spirit of justice.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Loyalty Integrity Transparency One who does good works With a will of fire
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
I have an education as well as common sense. I am a critical thinker and a strategist. I've lived through struggle and strife to know what the average person feels. I am uncorruptable, because the things I want cannot be bought -they must be achieved by all of us working together.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
To do right by the people, to make decisions in the best interest of the people, and to be the voice of the people
What legacy would you like to leave?
I would like to leave the legacy that we saved our nation and our planet from the brink. That we came together in our darkest hour and made light for the future generations.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
I was a dishwasher at a pizza hut. I was 16, and I had just got my license. It was a dirty job, but I was just happy to get paid for doing something.
What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?
The risk of the climatocalypse.
Do you believe that it’s beneficial for senators to have previous experience in government or politics?
It can be beneficial to have experience in politics, but it is also important to have a fresh perspective. No two paths are the same in life.
What do you think of the filibuster?
The filibuster is a childish bureaucratic tool that hinders progress.
What criteria would you apply when deciding whether to confirm presidential appointees?
Are they ethical and just in their every day words and actions? Are they an expert in the field they are being appointed to? Are there any issues or concerns about the nomination?
Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other senators?
Absolutely, networking is key for anyone anywhere. Always get to know those around you, and let them know you as well. Communication is faster and more beneficial this way.
If you are not a current senator, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?
I'd like to be a part of the budget, ethics, or energy and natural resources.
