2016
The Frisco ISD board of trustees election on May 7, 2016, featured both board incumbents and newcomers. Place 1 incumbent Bryan Dodson and Place 3 incumbent Chad Rudy were the sole candidates to file in their races. The Place 2 incumbent did not seek re-election, and challengers Steven Noskin, Phil Ramirez, and Anjali Shirvaikar faced each other in the election.[1] Both Dodson and Rudy won their unopposed re-election bids, and Noskin defeated Shirvaikar and Ramirez to win the Place 2 seat.[2][3]

Frisco Independent School District is based in Frisco, Texas, a city located in portions of Collin County and Denton County. According to the United States Census Bureau, Frisco was home to 154,407 residents between 2010 and 2015.[4] The district was the 23rd-largest school district in the state in the 2013–2014 school year and served 46,053 students.[5]
Demographics
Frisco outperformed Texas as a whole in terms of higher education achievement from 2010 to 2015. The United States Census Bureau found that 58.4 percent of city residents aged 25 years and older had attained a bachelor's degree compared to 27.1 percent statewide. The median household income in Frisco was $112,155 compared to $52,576 for the entire state, and the city poverty rate was 4.2 percent compared to 17.2 percent statewide.[4]
