The Rhode Island Mental Health, Retardation and Hospitals, Proposal 8 was on the ballot in Rhode Island on November 5, 1985, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was approved. The measure authorized up to $12.68 million for group facilities for the mentally disabled and chronically alcoholic.[1]
