Rhode Island Question 2, also known as Higher Education Facilities Bonds, was on the November 3, 1998 election ballot in Rhode Island. It passed, with 67.7% of voters in favor.

Text of measure

The language that appeared on the ballot said:

"Approval of this question will authorize the State of Rhode Island to issue its general obligation bonds, refunding bonds and temporary notes in an amount not to exceed $20,990,000 for higher education purposes. The funds will be used for the rehabilitation of existing facilities at the University of Rhode Island ($10,040,000), the renovation of buildings on the East Campus and the existing Campus of Rhode Island College ($4,300,000), and the construction and equipping of an addition to the Providence Campus of the Community College of Rhode Island ($6,650,000)."
