Robin Chesnut-Tangerman
Robin Chesnut-Tangerman (Democratic Party) was a member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Rutland-Bennington District. He assumed office on January 4, 2023. He left office on January 8, 2025.
Chesnut-Tangerman (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Vermont House of Representatives to represent Rutland-Bennington District. He lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Robin Chesnut-Tangerman earned a B.A. from Hamilton College and a mediation degree from Woodbury College. His career experience includes owning and operating Talisman Woodwork and working as an adjunct faculty in the renewable energy and ecological design program at Green Mountain College.[1]
Chesnut-Tangerman served on the Middletown Springs Select Board, Fire Department, Building Committee, and Energy Committee. He was a board member and an organizer of SolarFest, a renewable energy and sustainable living fair.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 12, 2014. Robin Chesnut-Tangerman was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Valerie Legh Harriss defeated Eric Mach in the Republican primary.[6] Chesnut-Tangerman, who also ran as a Progressive candidate, defeated Harriss in the general election.[7]
