2016

Nagamine's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

  • The number one thing that has motivated me to run is the need to make tomorrow great for our children and grandchildren. We want to leave our children with the best Hawaii possible. If elected, I will work vigorously to find solutions to the challenges in our district. I see strengthening the Ohana, our families, as a priority, since families make up a huge percentage of our district. The extended family members are also important, as I have been taught: "People are our greatest asset." Though our Hawaii Nei, beloved Hawaii, is such a beautiful and world-class place to live, it is also very expensive to live here. We need to improve the quality of life by curbing homelessness, crime and reduce wasteful government spending. I am also interested in addressing additional issues that affect our people in the community, including education and the environment.[4]
