Peter Stenger Grosscup (1852-1921) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.[1]

Judicial career

Seventh Circuit

Grosscup was nominated to the Seventh Circuit by President William McKinley on January 18, 1899. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 23, 1899, and received commission that same day. He resigned on October 23, 1911.[1]

Northern District of Illinois

Grosscup was nominated to the Northern District of Illinois by President Benjamin Harrison on December 12, 1892. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 20, 1892, and received commission that same day. He served on this court until February 1, 1899.[1] Grosscup was succeeded in this position by Christian Cecil Kohlsaat.
