Not on ballot |
The Oregon State Bank Amendment did not make the November 2014 statewide ballot as an initiated constitutional amendment. The measure would have established a state-owned bank and required deposit of "all state and local money" in that bank. While the measure was still considered active by the secretary of state's office it was never approved for circulation.[1]
Support
Douglas Paul Stanford was the chief petitioner for this proposed ballot initiative.[1]
Path to the ballot
The measure was filed with the Oregon Secretary of State on August 2, 2013. The measure was not approved for circulation before the filing deadline. The measure would have had to gather a minimum of 116,284 valid signatures by July 3, 2014 to qualify for the ballot.[1]
