The Nebraska Superintendent of Public Instruction Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Nebraska on November 5, 1940, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure provided that the Superintendent of Public Instruction be a member of the Board of Educational Lands and Funds.[1]
