The New York Local Indebtedness for Water Supply, Amendment 4, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 4, was on the ballot in New York on November 3, 1953, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This amendment related to local indebtedness for water supply. It granted powers to the legislature to deal with "public corporations and improvement districts concerning excess supply of water."[1]
