Ballot title

The ballot title for Question 3 was as follows:

Shall Senate Joint Resolution No. 17 (Thirty-seventh Session) relative to amending Article X of the Constitution of the State of Nevada, reading as follows:

"Sec. 2. The total tax levy for all public purposes, including levies for bonds, within the state, or any subdivision thereof, shall not exceed five cents on one dollar of assessed valuation"—be approved?

An initiated constitutional amendment is a citizen-initiated ballot measure that amends a state's constitution. Eighteen (18) states allow citizens to initiate constitutional amendments.

In Nevada, the number of signatures required for an initiated constitutional amendment is equal to 10% of the total number of votes cast in the preceding general election. A simple majority vote in two consecutive elections is required for voter approval.
