An effort to recall three members of the Northern Wasco County Park and Recreation District in Wasco County, Oregon, was launched in November 2014. Recall proponents sought to remove Catherine Whalen, Nikki Lesich, and Travis Dray.[1]
Organizers initiated the recall campaign after the board fired the district's director, Scott Green. The recalls did not make it to the ballot.[1]
As of November 2014, the Northern Wasco County Park and Recreation District had 8,190 registered voters.[1]

Dennis Morgan initiated a campaign to have Scott Green reinstated as district director, saying the firing of Green "did not seem fair based on what I know of the process." Chip Wood said he would start a recall campaign against board members who voted to terminate Green. Wood contended that Green helped turn the district's financial problems around and pointed to how Green had given his salary raise to employees of the district.[1]

For a recall election to be set, recall proponents needed to collect signatures from 15 percent of voters who cast votes in the 2014 governor's election in the district, or about 850 to 900 signatures for each board member. They had 90 days from when the initial recall petitions were filed. The recall election did not qualify for the ballot.[1]
District board members are appointed by the county board of commissioners.[1]
