PNEUMON Journal

PNEUMON is an open access, single blind peer reviewed, published in English journal as the official scientific journal of the Hellenic Thoracic Society. The journal is published quarterly (4 issues/year) both in print and online.

The Journal publishes original papers of international interest on laboratory and clinical research that are pertinent to lung biology and disease. Clinical and experimental work dealing with the whole field of pneumonology, including allied health, cell and molecular biology, epidemiology, immunology, pathology, pharmacology, physiology, intensive and critical care, paediatric respiratory medicine and thoracic surgery are within the scope of the journal.

Articles published in PNEUMON address topics related to pneumonology and critical care medicine in the following categories: Editorials, Reviews, Basic and Clinical Research Studies, Case Reports, Special Articles, Images and Letter to the Editor. Editorials, Reviews and Special Articles are published following invitation by the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board reserves the right of publishing other types of papers as well. All manuscripts submitted to the Journal are peer-reviewed by Greek and International experts and the members of the Editorial Board. We cordially invite you to submit a paper for any of the above categories, according to the instructions found in the "Instructions to the Authors" section.

PNEUMON is indexed in SCOPUS, EMBASE, DOAJ, INDEX COPERNICUS, and GOOGLE SCHOLAR and is currently under consideration for inclusion in MEDLINE(PubMed).
