The only entry in the Mother series to see a North American release, EarthBound was met with poor sales in the U.S. However, its hilarious commentary on American culture, psychedelic premise, and unique take on the RPG genre instantly cemented it as a cult classic.

The story follows Ness, a character who grew to know greater popularity than his game thanks to his inclusion in the Super Smash Bros. series of fighting games. A prophetic alien bee named Buzz Buzz changes the course of the young boy's life, setting him on an adventure that those of us who have experienced it would never forget.
