Wilkin Family History

The Wilkin family have been farming at Tiptree for nearly three hundred years. They've been growing fruit for well over half that time and they pride themselves in their knowledge of fruit farming and horticulture.

More recently the family tradition has been upheld by A.F. Wilkin, then T.G. Wilkin and now Peter (P.J.) Wilkin runs the family business as chairman and joint managing director. Peter has a degree in horticulture and his first love is the farm, but he is heavily involved in all areas of the business. Much of his time has been spent ensuring that the employees are part of the business and that Wilkin & Sons can remain independent for many years to come.
