you are here: Zirje, an island in the Sibenik archipelago, about 22 km southwest of Sibenik; area 15.4 sq km (length 11.8 km, width up to 2.5 km); population 160; the highest peak Kapic (131 m). The island is composed of limestone, which forms two mountain ridges; between them is a fertile valley. The sea west of Zirje is rich in fish. On the northern coast of the island are the coves of Mikavica, Muna, Koromasna and Japlenisce.
