"No! You're Not Dreaming! It's All on the Screen! It's Big! It's Lavish! It's Breath-Taking! And Such Tunes! Such Girls! Such Laughter!"
During the Second World War, the patriot Bill Morgan also wants to participate in the war and he is approved. Unfortunately, Bill is rejected and he goes to work at the local military barracks. There he meets the attractive Lucilla Powell and falls in love with her. But one Sally Smith turns out to be secretly in love with Bill as well. One day Bill stumbles upon an old bottle and while he is rubbing it clean, the genie Ali comes out. Bill gets to make a wish from Ali. Wanting to impress Lucilla, Bill asks Ali to make him a soldier so he can participate in World War II. However, the mind has problems with its historical sense.
