Slightly better than Hellraiser:Deader, but again it doesn't last. The story is nicely put together, but the amateurish acting and the boring camera work provide a cheap feeling that the series just doesn't need. Stop with the series, I'd say, but the fans have been screaming that since part three.

Young boy, the worst in the whole series if you ask me. You see so little of the cenobites, they turn out to be fake 99% of the movie too.
Bad acting, crappy music, terrible moments (that karate kick, come on man) . All those elements don't really help. Story is somewhat nice, but not good enough for a Hellraiser movie. 1,5*

I think back to 1987 when we got the first Hellraiser. Dark, mysterious, shocking; a combination of a melancholy love story and a dark horror. Less than twenty years later and here is Hellraiser: Hellword, part 8 - straight to DVD - with a Matrix-esque cover with the tagline 'Evil Goes Online' on Pinhead's forehead, who doesn't even look angry anymore, but mostly confused. You see him thinking, 'Really? We're doing this?'
Now Pinhead doesn't have to worry too much, because he has very little to do with this nonsense. The connection between Hellworld and Hellraiser is again very hard to find. The movie about an online game, a group of friends, a mysterious party, Lance Hendriksen and a twist has nothing to do with Pinhead, the Cenobites or Hellraiser. Reportedly, Rick Bota was given a very short time to - at the same time as the previous film Deader - also shit out of this film and it is clear that he does not know it all anymore. At least, the film swings in all directions like a ship without a captain or crew in a violent storm. The film aims to be a Hellraiser, but also invariably borrows from Scream (and is way behind the times in doing so) and feels like Halloween: Resurrection (including random kung-fu kicks). And that's anything but a good sign. The characters are boring and boring, it's just funny to see Mr. Man of Steel walking around in an earlier role. Other than that, the movie is just stupid. Very stupid.
And let's be honest, if even Lance Hendriksen can't brighten up your film, then you're doing something grandly wrong. Sad goodbye for Doug Bradley as Pinhead, you can give such a man a slightly better ending than this. Then Robert Englund had it with Freddy vs. Jason not so bad.
