The Muppets Take Manhattan plot
"They’re coming to take on Broadway!"
Just after graduating from drama school, the Muppets travel to New York to continue their hit musical "Manhattan Melodies" on Broadway. That turns out to be a lot more difficult than expected, so when they have not achieved anything after a few months, everyone goes their own way and the group falls apart. Kermit, however, stays behind to chase the dream.

The problem with the Muppets is that the original setup is not intended for film at all. Muppets is a revue show but with puppets. Film is actually a completely different medium. Not a problem in itself of course, but then you have to be able to make the right translation. Just like The Muppet Movie, Muppets Take Manhattan has become a fun road movie of the protagonists who want to look for success. Always the same story and in the Muppet films also the only story that works. The Muppets from 2011 work the same way.
Nice film, with here the well-known figures who, depending on the players die or leave, will be less present in the later films. But as said, the show itself is still the best.

very entertaining; regularly that original humor. But there are also several lesser episodes, together a very reasonable product, but no more than that.
