La Calle de la Amargura plot
In modern-day Mexico City, permanently masked dwarf twins work as miniluchadores, mascots for professional wrestlers. The two beat their wives but in turn are also exploited by their bosses, who have nicknames like Death and AK-47. This unbreakable chain of exploitation also applies to Adele and Dora, two older prostitutes with less and less work. One of them exploits her mentally retarded mother, who has to beg on the street. The other is dealing with her husband, who likes to dress up in her clothes and have secret homosexual encounters.
