Il Successo plot
A man believes, despite reasons to be satisfied about professional practice and private life, that he has not succeeded sufficiently. With his bad temper, he tests the patience of his wife and a loyal friend. The post-war economic prosperity offers him the opportunity to speculate on land in tourist areas in Sardinia, to which he sacrifices the interests of the poor population, marital fidelity, his old father's property and friendship.
