In Enemy Country plot
"Their impossible mission...to steal the most devastating weapon of World War II."
During World War II, Secret Service agents Colonel Charles Waslow-Carton and Lieutenant Colonel Philip Braden must infiltrate behind enemy lines. Both pose as prisoners of war. Their mission is to destroy a deadly new type of torpedo hidden in a Nazi stronghold in France. Contact person in France is Denise Marchois. Shortly before the outbreak of the war in France, Waslow-Carton more or less forced Denise to marry the German baron Frederick von Wittenberg. Denise can thus continue her espionage activities unimpeded. After the completion of the mission, the two secret agents have a problem: Denise chooses to stay behind in France, because she has fallen in love with Von Wittenberg.
