When a new family settles in next to Laura, they are immediately fascinated by their young daughter Megan. Laura immediately has to think back to her own daughter, who died years ago. However, Megan exhibits strange behavior that makes Laura, who has since become obsessed, suspect supernatural phenomena. Her own reality is being questioned.

Laura [Andrea Riseborough] and Brendan [Jonjo O'Neill] move in the hopes that they will be able to cope better with the death of their daughter. But Laura soon comes into contact with Megan [Niamh Dornan], a girl who is about the same age as her deceased daughter and who seems to know a remarkable amount of details. Who is this Megan? How come she knows so much? Or is this all based on a strange coincidence? Riseboroug and especially O'Neill are very convincing in this intriguing, atmospheric mystery that unfortunately has an unsatisfying denouement.
