Gegenüber plot

Georg, a police officer, is appreciated by his colleagues for his composure and self-control. His colleague Michael also envies him for his apparently successful marriage to Anne, an attractive teacher. When a promotion beckons for Georg, the facade of harmonious family life gradually begins to crumble. The traces of domestic violence can no longer be swept under the rug.
