"Hip hip hooray boys!"
1874. The young teacher Konrad Koch starts teaching English at an old German secondary school. To get the students interested in foreign languages, he resorts to unusual means and teaches them a strange sport he knows from England: football. But with his unconventional way of teaching, Koch quickly makes enemies. After all, his colleagues are committed to Prussian drill and obedience, with the city's influential parents and dignitaries behind them. They want to get rid of Koch at all costs, but then the students spring into action...
