Doonby plot

"A Story Worth Telling, A Life Worth Living"

Sam Doonby, a mysterious handsome bum, steps off a bus in a small Texas town where he quickly becomes the talk of the town. After landing a job at Leroy's Country Blues Bar, his musical talent makes him the star of the village. He attracts the attention of Laura, the beautiful but spoiled daughter of local doctor Cyrus Reaper. Sam seems to be in the right place at the right time every time to avoid accidents in the town. It doesn't take long for the villagers to get suspicious. When eventually Laura also starts to have doubts, Sam disappears with the northern sun. Then they learn that there was more to Sam Doornby than they thought, especially regarding Cyrus and his family when the doctor's past finds out about him.
