In love with Delpy. What in God's name is sweeter than her? If anyone wants to discuss this with me, I'm all ears.

Before Sunrise. What a phenomenal movie. The atmosphere is enchanting. Disney-esque, but just real life. It's also nice Down to Earth, it doesn't get really sweet anywhere, and that's what I appreciate about this film (series). The pure acting comes to the fore here, a good example: Celine and Jesse in the record store, listening to music that makes them visibly corny. You can really read Celine in that scene, her eyes smiling. Jesse, on the other hand, has a little harder time controlling himself and the smile on his face (and how he tries to contain it) is beautiful. The best is yet to come: one looks at the other, and the other looks away just at that moment. That happens a few times, without it really coming across as forced. I thoroughly enjoyed that scene.

So the appeal and chemistry in this film is portrayed to perfection, credits for that go to Richard Linklater and the lead actors. The mother of romantic movies.

Recommended with a capital A.

I saw the first part in 96, and it was a surprise to me when the second part came out. Well, then there was no internet. I always read the preview and stuff.
