Nice film in which the Earl of Oxford is a writer, but does not publish his pieces in his name. False history or not, it remains a fascinating, although perhaps far-fetched theory. William Shakespeare is portrayed here as an opportunist and fraudster. The film is a bit too full and the editing during the first part seems messy. The entire decoration is well done.

Some knowledge about Shakespeare and certainly about British history from this era is desirable to enjoy this costume drama, because the political intrigue (fortunately sometimes a bit funny) is complex and the many characters do not contribute to making it a smooth watch. would become.

Strange film that is 130 minutes long about a conspiracy, in which Shakespeare is portrayed as a first-class loser. Of course you have to dare, but director Roland Emmerich manages to handle it quite well. Unfortunately, most points are obtained with the visual content, because the content is only interesting to a limited extent. The acting provides some interest, but ultimately the perspectives are alternated too often and the large-scale events are too clumsily exchanged for "smaller" scenes. There is a certain kind of premise missing in Anonymous, because most of the plot feels like pure and nonsensical drivel. On the other hand, impressive and well-done cinematography, with Rhys Ifans fitting in perfectly. You have to have an interest in the world portrayed here, otherwise a film like this will quickly fall into tedium. I could do something with it to a certain extent, but give me an Emmerich in which he just blows up the world.
