Utvandrarna plot
"a new land... a new hope... a new dream"
Epic story about the Nilsson family who emigrate to Minnesota during the food shortage in 19th century Sweden. The film follows their difficult times in Sweden, after which the decision is made to emigrate. Together with other farmers and led by a priest they sail to the US. It soon becomes clear that not everyone will survive this horrific journey.
