"Little we know or imagine can prepare us for the fierce and punishing impact of The Boys."

Brett Sprague, a violent, psychopathic man, is released on parole after being sentenced for assault. When they get home, it turns out that quite a few things have changed in the family. Brett realizes he's lost his grip on his family and his frustration over it spirals out of control in the 24 hours after returning home.
