"Millions of miles from home, survival comes with sacrifice."
A small group, consisting of a biologist, a medical researcher and the captain, sets off on a mission to Mars. During the journey, the ship's life system is severely damaged by an unforeseen guest traveling with the gang. As their resources dwindle, the team members must find a solution and agree among themselves to get out alive.

Mediocre and way too long SF film.
What annoys me the most is the lack of explanation as to how the stowaway got on board... found behind a screw-locked hatch. Or did I miss something?

I had to think of The Midnight Sky (Film, 2020) by George Clooney a number of times. Also here an isolation with a stowaway, also with some visual splendor. Stowaway has some common ground on these topics, both positive and negative.
The film has a very slow pace and seems difficult to get going. I found the silences in the film - which I found to be an absolute added value - appropriate in the vast emptiness of the space. Of course, it all revolves around the moral dilemma that arises when a stowaway is discovered and he takes up the confined skies of 3 scientists. Nothing new under the sun, but it does deliver quite a bit of potential. I just found the elaboration rather poor and uninspired. To be honest, I had no feeling for any of the characters. There was little energy in it, not in the script, but not in the actors either.
Visually quite nicely done and also technically quite fine. Dialogues, on the other hand, are also negligible. A film with few heights, but a bit too many flaws. Unfortunately...

Moderate sci-fi drama. The story is good but it could have been a lot more. The movie starts off nicely. With few major effects, the launch is portrayed pretty realistically. Then we get to know the main characters. After half an hour the film weakens and becomes a bit long-winded and boring. The protagonists hardly manage to captivate the viewer, let alone touch them, while the story lends itself perfectly to that. The ending is disappointing and the film burns out like a candle. The acting is not special and visually the film can handle it given the limited budget. 2.5
