Good film from start to finish, a film by the way where Liotta also plays a good role!!! We don't see that happen very often!

A catchy film, which I thought about for a while after watching it!!

Nice ensemble film, which easily passes the inspection, especially on a visual level.

Also something I didn't expect from this movie. Had actually only been watching him at first because of Whitaker; An actor who always hits the mark with me. But as it turned out: Powder Blue contains, in addition to a strong acting Whitaker, also just a reasonably deserving piece of cinema. Ergo, a nice (small) surprise, because I didn't expect much from it.

More unfortunate was the choice for Liotta. From now on, he'd better act as a ''tough'' pipo in some shitty mafia movie, because as soon as that guy really has to act, it will be crying with the cap on. Fortunately, he is lucky that his mediocre performance is compensated by the remaining residue of actors. Whitaker of course first, followed by Biel and Redmayne who also do it properly.

The storylines themselves are quite banal, and unfortunately don't really shoot up anywhere. The moment when Biel and Redmayne suddenly get into a fight is a rather ridiculous turn even to say the least. Whitaker's storyline is also rather dull, there was also a lot more resident. On the other hand, there are very good visuals, especially the scenes in the club looked beautiful. Beautiful filters and exposures, which give the film some atmosphere. I usually found the soundtrack a bit noisy, the ambient that popped up here and there was much more close to my heart.

Not a genius by any means, but certainly not wrong either. Do not expect subtle or highly elaborated storylines, but do expect a film with its heart in the right place, and on which there is little to criticize visually. 3.0*.
