"It's sheer magic!"
'1-2-3-4 ou Les Collants noirs' is an anthology of four ballet performances: The first, 'La croqueuse de diamants' ('The Diamond Cruncher'), is about a gangster girl who leaves her bad life behind for the love of a good man. The second, 'Cyrano de Bergerac', is about a romantic poet with an exceptionally large nose. He is in love with the beautiful Roxanne, but does not dare to declare his love to her. In the third, "Deuil en 24 Heures" ("A Merry Mourning"), a flirtatious girl finds herself in a love triangle that turns out to be deadly dangerous. The fourth and final performance is the old well-known story 'Carmen', about a Spanish cavalryman who falls for the beauty of a gypsy girl and who thus faces his doom.
