Het Verloren Land plot

This documentary by director Jos de Putter is a 'future documentary', partly situated in the Netherlands in 2070. Our country then appears to be largely under water. Through a series of meetings with people who deal with climate and water issues on a large and small scale, we reconstruct how things have come to this. The Lost Land thus moves between realism and drama, history and future, science and faith, Dutch film history and special effects. With, among others, Pierre Bokma, Geert Mak and fragments from classic films by Bert Haanstra and Joris Ivens.
