Earth plot

"The remarkable story of three families."

In the documentary "Earth" a journey from North Pole to South Pole is made, emphasizing the struggle for survival. "Earth" confronts us through impressive images and landscapes, lit by a dazzling sun, with the harsh reality of life on our planet. To this end, the documentary follows a polar bear family, a herd of elephants and two humpback whales in their permanent habitat and shows the influence of seasonal changes on this. It is becoming clear how global warming threatens the survival of many animal species. The makers succeed in filming in areas where film recordings have never been made before.

In any case a bit strange to find these kind of documentaries on MM, let alone in the top 250 list. For that alone I wanted to see him. Nice documentary, that's for sure. I am always amazed at high-quality documentaries about the world or fauna and flora. Not the BBC's first top documentary. David Attenborough also has such gems.

I therefore do not think that this documentary distinguishes itself specifically from other similar documentaries. Basically they all treat the same and use the same film techniques. It is sometimes fabulous how they can speed up time by means of quick photo montages so that you literally see flowers grow or snow melt.

Many creatures already in this Earth, sometimes a bit too much, because I wanted to know more about some of them, too bad. Very educational and never boring. Visually and auditory strong, that's all it should be'.

The cleanest wildlife documentary I've ever seen! And nicely framed by appropriate music. Beautifully filmed! Highly recommended!

Nature film from the BBC. The story is not that special. From pool to pool and everything in between. It is remarkable that I have not been able to discover any image, anywhere in the world, where any human influence could be seen. It was all untouched nature as it is called. Although the story in the background claims the opposite. Humans have far too much influence. And also on this so-called untouched nature. But the images are incredibly beautiful. And that has now become the norm. Today's generation, and I probably don't even want to see an ordinary "old-fashioned" nature film where everything was filmed with telephoto lenses from a fixed point of view. I remember once seeing a film of a flock of geese with a camera mounted on one of those geese. That was a sensation then. But that's child's play compared to this movie. It's a mystery to me how some things are filmed. Or is this all computer like in life or pi. I almost think.
