Comic legend Stan Lee, born in New York in 1922, grew up in poverty during the Depression years. In 1939 he joined Timely Comics as the youngest clerk, where he made his debut at the age of eighteen (!) as an episode of the Jack Kirby drawn Captain America series. It was the beginning of an exciting career that would only come to full fruition when Lee conceived the first real serious competitors of DC Comics' Batman and Superman for Marvel Comics in 1960. The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, X-Men, The Hulk, Iron Man - can we remember a time without these mythical heroes? The documentary With Great Power takes the viewer on a journey through Lee's long life.
