"A chronicle of Paul McCartney's cathartic journey through New York City in the aftermath of 9/11"
In the early morning of September 11, 2001, Paul McCartney sat in a plane on the runway of a New York airport, waiting to depart for Britain. When he heard the news of the attacks, the question immediately came to his mind: "What can I do?" He asked documentary director and long-time friend Albert Maysles to follow him - on 16mm black and white film - as he New York tried to put together a benefit concert. This material went unseen for years, but ten years later Maysles is working with director Bradley Kaplan and editor Ian Markiewicz to present an intimate image that reveals the role of art and artists in times of crisis.
