Stank voor Dank plot
'You don't become a whistleblower, it happens to you. You react as a person, you feel that things are not right.' A great sense of justice and a strong sense of ethics, that's how you could describe the character of whistleblowers. They are all people who believe that they are doing society a service by raising abuses within their own organization. But they are not thanked for that. By sticking their necks out, they become the target of scorn, bullying and exclusion. Labor relations are deliberately disrupted and employers would rather lose them than get rich. Filmmaker Frans Bromet talks to whistleblowers about the far-reaching consequences that 'whistleblowing' has on their lives. The lives of the whistleblowers whom Bromet speaks have been damaged beyond repair. The personal drama unfolds between stacks of binders and newspaper articles about the event.
