"The only one to help him is his enemy."
After serving together, a mercenary and a doctor leave the Foreign Legion to go their separate ways. They are later reunited by coincidence. The doctor made a promise to a friend to crack a safe. When he hides in the office building to fulfill his promise, he is followed by the mercenary, who is also out to crack this safe.

Remarkable film in which the characters seem to live somewhat in a vacuum, so little weight is given to their background and their characters are so unclear. Then they meet at the vault, and from that moment on it is no longer about realism but about charisma and an extremely entertaining game of cat and mouse ensues that remains entertaining until the end. The confrontations in the closed corridors are half serious and half absurd and perhaps that is why they are so memorable. I'm not sure what to think of this film, but it was definitely different, and intriguing too.

A pleasant film with a sense of humour. Bronson and Delon on the silver screen as a couple and I was really curious how that would go. The cat-mouse game in the room of the safe is made for gentlemen. A few blemishes such as the fighting where it was clearly visible that it was fake and what the added value of the scream at the end of the film, uttered by Delon, is not clear to me either. For the rest, I thought it was a nice film that flew by and was sometimes exciting despite the set was often in the same location.

Nice film about two men who return from the war and, due to circumstances, get a job done together. The first part is a bit unbalanced and the story also starts a bit messy. After this it gets a lot better and the scenes in which Charles Bronson and Alain Delon are locked up together are the best moments of the film. A narrow 3.0 stars.
