Nice film, nice music by renowned Riz Ortolani. Bronson and Ventura play well, but 'mandatory number' Ireland and various supporting roles are not so convincing. Undecided between 3 and 3.5*.
By the way, there is a very extensive, long documentary on the Dutch DVD, something that is not indicated on the cover.

Reasonable film about a prisoner who is unsure of his life and gives testimony in exchange for protection. Entertainingly told with long flashbacks that reveal both the personal story of the prisoner and the rise of the cosa nostra. The casting doesn't work equally well everywhere. Not a bad film, but there are better ones within the mafia genre.

Strong film about the Cosa Nostra and the mutual relationships within it. Valachi gradually exposes the entire structure. Bronson and Ventura good in their roles. The whole thing is quite intense, especially for those years.
