Unfortunately not special and even slightly disappointing, after two excellent predecessors (3.5*); it is definitely much too long. The murders continue to pile up while the investigation makes little progress. Very few new elements are added and some of the twists felt very cliché and beholden to eg the murder of the colleague . That's pretty much the tenor for two-thirds of a movie, which begins to get lost in its own story. The central figure behind all the lurid events gradually emerges from the shadows, but they did not have to wait until the end. His identity was hardly a surprise really and was laid out thick from the start. . The survey and the mystery surrounding that sect still work, but after the transition film "Legacy of the bones" I expected a smoother pace and a brilliant exciting twist, but tension is just what is missing here. .. Small 3*

To be honest, this was an obligatory song for me as the conclusion of a triptych. Not that the series is bad, but I already liked it after 1 film about the Besajaun (if I remember correctly). Afterwards, the focus shifts more to ritual child murders and this third part elaborates on that. The second part is therefore almost indispensable to have seen first.

I couldn't follow very well in the beginning, but the third part becomes more and more self-contained over time, although the background of the earlier film(s) is useful. Lots of tension, great atmosphere and quite dark dark setting with lots of rain and nocturnal interventions.

The many names of characters and places make it confusing at times. The film also lacks some overview and rest moments so that it comes across as cluttered and messy. But if you go with the flow you will see where it ends. At the leak that was discovered - when that lady burned those papers - I already figured out who the central figure was going to be. Bit predictable, but OK.

Third part of the Bazan trilogy that works out better than the second part because as a viewer you get a better grip on the story here. Yet the pace of constantly changing scenes is high again, which makes it look a bit messy. Not that the plot is really difficult, but the attention should not slacken to be able to follow well given the many accumulations of short scenes. However, it is not really exciting. Marta Etura is solid in her role and a plus are the beautiful atmospheric locations where quite a lot of rain falls. But in the second part that was constantly present. 6/10
