Nice mafia comedy with a nice story and a few hilarious moments. Especially Dean Stockwell, Mercedes Ruehl and Oliver Platt are doing well and of course Michelle Pfeiffer, for whom this -after a few extremely mediocre and weak films- meant the big breakthrough.

Not such a super movie. Dance, dance, dance on TV doesn't appeal to me at all, so I watched this (previously recorded) movie. I delete this picture from my hard drive again, don't have to see it again

A fun crime comedy. Michelle Pfeiffer is not worth a whistle as an actress. Beautiful face, zero talent. Hardly any films from her that I have a good word for. This one is an exception along with her role as Tony Montana's sweetheart in Scarface.

Angela, the widow of a hit man shot down, wants to say goodbye to "the environment" and leaves her villa with her son for a dirty apartment, but the mob boss "Tiger" Russo sees in her a nice seesaw and continues to bore her with his advances. She is also guarded by the FBI. The positive energy of the cast is contagious here: you can feel that they were all looking forward to it. Jonathan Demme knows how to put together a comedy, he already proved that with Something Wild. He is not a joke teller but mainly creates comic situations and a lively atmosphere around his plot. Here, too, everything grows together in the end. I hadn't recognized Chris Isaak as a clown and Joe Spinnell also escaped my eye. The cheerful soundtrack may well be there. Somewhere between 3.5 and 4* for me, and certainly one to review later. Also look at the end credits: you see a lot of cut material and a post credit scene.
