Still a nice comedy, especially by Michael Keaton. The concept of this movie was good too.

Very entertaining film with Michael Keaton as ideal actors (although Jim Carrey also hints at the anarchic behavior of version number 4). Andie MacDowell offers a good counterbalance, and although it never gets high and in the end also somewhat predictable, it doesn't really sink in anywhere, again mainly thanks to Keaton who plays the various Dougs in a beautiful way and full of energy.

And indeed... remains a pleasant film... deserves much better here. Not that I could remember much of it but I had a good laugh a few times. An overworked construction foreman gets the chance to clone himself, which gives him more me-time… but there are only jobs to do and then another clone, and another… There were some fun burlesque situations in there anyway... the original Doug and the clone sitting in the restaurant at the same time, the construction site inspector, the clones going to rampage with Doug's wife.

This is just a great idea for a movie, and the makers know how to use its potential well. The FX with the different Keatons are very cleverly mounted. I used to think Keaton was a disappointing actor, but I'm starting to appreciate his comedies more when I review them: after Gung Ho, The Dream Team, I liked this one too.
