Le Chemin des Écoliers plot
Antoine Michaud, a 17-year-old high school student, joins his friend Paul Tiercelin on the black market to support his mistress Yvette, whose husband is a prisoner of war in Germany. Concerned about his son's absence, Antoine's father, a righteous and honest man, asks for help from Mr. Tiercelin, Paul's father and owner of a restaurant frequented by the Germans. Tiercelin lives off the black market and decides to protect Antoine.
